All audio is recorded from a blindness perspective, primarily by two totally blind professional instructors, Chris and Kim Nova. We hope these audios demonstrate the superior quality of our work. In this audio, Chris and Kim unbox and demonstrate the LyriQ Assistive Reader. It’s a small, relatively portable device with a camera arm that folds down, and a magnetic keypad for remote navigation (available from certain distributors at an additional cost). This is a stand-alone reading machine that is fast, accurate, and which includes some innovative features that make using it even more of a pleasure. So why do two technology geeks who already have phones running iOS and Android, and who use scanning apps currently even want such a device? Listen to find out, and to discover our thoughts on first use. We purchased our LyriQ Assistive Reader from North State Assistive Technology, who kindly demoed it for us at CSUN. Their version includes the keypad as part of the price. We receive no compensation if you purchase from them.
